The client is a leading manufacturing enterprise in Algeria, specializing in the production and export of heavy machinery. With the rapid expansion of its business, the client urgently needed a modern industrial plant to meet the growing production demands. The client outlined several core requirements for the project:

High Strength and Durability: The plant needed to withstand the weight and vibrations of heavy machinery while resisting Algeria’s windy and sandy climate conditions.

Environmental Protection and Sustainability: The building needed to meet international environmental standards and reflect the company’s commitment to sustainable development.

Cost Control: The project needed to minimize costs while ensuring high quality.

These requirements posed high demands on the design and construction of the project. Our team, with its rich experience and expertise, successfully addressed the client’s challenges.

Challenge 1: High Strength and Durability Design

The client needed to install multiple heavy machinery units within the plant, which posed significant challenges in terms of the weight and vibrations affecting the building structure. Additionally, Algeria’s climate conditions (windy and sandy with large temperature variations) presented a challenge for the building’s durability.

Our Solution:

  • High-Strength Steel: We selected Q345B low-alloy high-strength steel as the primary structural material. Q345B steel offers excellent strength and toughness, capable of withstanding the weight and vibrations of heavy machinery, while also providing good weldability and corrosion resistance.

  • Optimized Structural Design: Using 3D modeling and finite element analysis, we optimized the plant’s structural design to ensure that key areas (such as equipment installation zones) could handle additional loads.

  • Corrosion Treatment: We applied hot-dip galvanizing to all steel surfaces and covered them with high-performance anti-corrosion coatings to ensure the building would maintain its long service life despite the harsh windy and temperature-variable environment.

The client highly praised our design solution, appreciating that we not only solved the structural strength issue but also considered the local climate conditions.

Challenge 2: Environmental Protection and Sustainability

The client wanted the building to reflect the company’s commitment to sustainable development and meet international environmental standards.

Our Solution:

  • Green Materials: We used recyclable, environmentally-friendly steel and strictly controlled carbon emissions during production.

  • Energy-efficient Design: We optimized the insulation and ventilation design to reduce energy consumption. We also offered the client the option of a solar roof system to further lower operational costs.

  • Environmental Certification: After the project was completed, we assisted the client in applying for international green building certifications (such as LEED), enhancing the company’s brand image.

The client expressed high appreciation for our environmentally friendly design, recognizing that we not only met their functional needs but also helped them take an important step toward sustainability.

Project Outcome

This 200*80 meter steel structure industrial plant not only met all of the client’s functional requirements but also addressed the various challenges the client encountered during the project. From design to delivery, the project took just 5 months, 15% less than the client’s expected timeline.
